A rich offer of jobs, Job Speed Dating, valuable prizes and interactive lectures marked this fall’s LINK2job Employment Fair

The 11th large regional LINK2job Employment Fair was held on Friday, November 25, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Metropol Palace Hotel, organized by the Center for Career Development and supported by the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs of the City of Belgrade and the National Employment Service.

At this fall’s Fair, visitors had the opportunity to apply for over 350 vacancies within 45 of the most successful regional companies, including Blue Grid, Orange Cloud, Galenika, Streit Nova, OZ Tragač, GRAWE osiguranje, Joorney, as well as educational institutions ITAcademy, BusinessAcademy, Savremena Gimnazija, Primary School Savremena and many others.

The Fair was officially opened by Siniša Knežević, deputy director of the Belgrade branch of NES, and Maja Bogdanović from LINKgroup.

"Today, it is a great advantage when you have a God-given partner like LINKgroup, who feels the needs in the labor market and wants to gather employees and employers at such an event and thus significantly contribute to the reduction of unemployment", said Siniša Knežević.

Both companies and visitors were satisfied

In addition to having the opportunity to enjoy the various contents offered, the visitors also received valuable gifts, such as a free online English Language and Computer Science course, while Viktorija Kostić, who had the most luck, won a free ITAcademy scholarship worth 2,500 euros.

Numerous companies presented their business culture to the candidates and brought their business closer to them: "The company is made up of people and we are here to present what our culture is, and it is much easier to do it in person at events like this than online", said Aleksandar Matić from the company Orange Cloud.

In addition, successful business people, as well as bloggers, influencers and other internet entrepreneurs, introduced themselves to the visitors. They shared their rich experience and provided numerous useful tips on what it takes to build a successful career.

One event in particular delighted both employers and visitors: for the first time, the LINK edu Alliance ISPIT JOB Speed Dating was held at the Fair, where candidates presented themselves to a large number of potential employers in the form of a one-on-one interview.

"The Speed Date interview with HR was a fantastic experience for me because it was the first time I attended such an interview. The event is an excellent opportunity to find a job because the HR staff was willing to provide us with contacts even outside the scope of the company's interests", said Milena Gačić, a visitor to the Fair.

This fall, Fair visitors had the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge about career planning and development, as well as about building self-confidence and desirable business skills at useful lectures and workshops. The Laptop Corner attracted special attention, where all job seekers took a professional photo for their CV, which they then printed or left directly in the LINK2job database.

This fall’s LINK2job Employment Fair met the expectations of both employers and candidates, which is why everyone agrees that such gatherings are of great importance for finding talented employees and well-paid jobs.

"For a labor market, fairs like this are important for both employers and candidates because they can see a wide range of jobs that are offered," said Maja Tomašević from the company Streit Nova.
