LINKgroup – part of the mobility program in Ariccia within the Erasmus+ project "GLOBE"

As part of the GLOBE project, in which the LINKgroup participated as a partner, along with schools from Spain, Lithuania, Italy, Turkey and Serbia, training for students and teachers was held in Ariccia (Italy) from October 23 to 29. The goal of the project is to raise the awareness of students and teachers about misinformation and media manipulation.

LINKgroup experts on the importance of visuals in the world of communications

At the beginning of the five-day program, the students presented their schools, cities and countries. Afterwards, workshops were held for teachers and students. The hosts presented the MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) platform, and the students had the task of creating fake news with the help of the platform and presenting it to teachers and other students.

LINKgroup experts shared their knowledge about the importance of visuals in the world of communications with the present students, after which the students had the task of designing logos of selected companies or campaigns.
An obligatory, but fun and educational part of the program, was getting to know the sites and museums that bear witness to ancient and medieval civilizations in Rome and its surroundings such as Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, Pantheon, Foro Romano, Vatican, etc. Experts, students and teachers met a lot of new people and gained great experiences, knowledge and impressions from this activity.

In the coming period, the focus will be on working on a set of tools for developing media literacy which is intended for students – it should help them more easily fight the challenges of digital communications and fake news.
