LINK leading to employment: Over 5000 visitors at the fourth LINK2job employment fair!

The fourth LINK2job employment fair was held on Friday, May 12 at the hotel “Jugoslavija”. LINK Center for career development, in cooperation with over 400 partner companies and 50 exhibitors, supported by the city of Belgrade and the National Employment Services, welcomed over 5,000 visitors.

The opening was attended by the minister of labor, employment, veteran and social affairs Aleksandar Vulin, president of the Employment Council and City Council member Dragomir Petronijević, as well as deputy director of the Belgrade branch of the NES Siniša Knežević.

At this year’s LINK2job employment fair, domestic and international companies presented themselves with over 300 open positions covering a wide range of professions. The participants included Comtrade, ManpowerGroup, Sitel, MHT, Bosch, and many others.

This was an opportunity for the visitors to realize direct interaction with potential employers and learn how to meet the requirements for employment at concrete positions, which resulted in a great number of employed people at the fair.

Training towards success – new skills land jobs

Special and different, LINK2job employment fair once again offered the visitors a varied program along with professional training options. This year’s 5000 visitors could directly communicate with companies’ recruiters and learn about career development options and work conditions; the visitors could leave their CVs for any position that seemed attractive.

As a gift, each visitor received a free photo shoot and professional editing of a CV photo, provided by the DesignStudio team, as well as free online Microsoft Office courses and desired English language courses. All visitors could participate in a prize game, in which the luckiest ones received special prizes in the form of free programming, design and e-business courses, and even free training at ITAcademy.

Especially attractive were the options of participating in a job interview simulation in the Job Box corner with HR experts and advisors from real companies, thereby advancing their self-presentation when faced with potential employers; directly applying for open positions in the Laptop Corner, and hearing lectures on entrepreneurship and startup in IT, education and personal advancement.

LINK2job fair once again proved an important event in the calendars of young people in search of work and companies eager to present themselves in the best possible way. Congratulations to all who landed jobs at the fair, and to those who have not found employment yet, we wish a lot of success at the next fair and in future professional training.
